Nancy O'Dell's broadcast career began as a reporter and anchor for WPDE-TV Myrtle beach, South Carolina. Later she was a morning-news anchor as well as crime reporter for WCBD TV. O'Dell's reportage on the streets of Charleston about the police's leniency toward DUI cases resulted in being the State Law Enforcement Division investigating the incidents.
